About Us

FOUNDING
The BTSG (Bridging the Social Gap) initiative was established in Miami, Florida, in 2019 to create a sense of connection and belonging for online college students. This vision took shape with the founding of Sigma Chi Psi Sorority in Baltimore, Maryland, on October 14, 2020. Shortly after, Gamma Sigma Gamma Fraternity was formed. In 2021, the SCP and GSG Association, formerly known as BTSG Management, was officially established as the interorganizational collaboration body supporting both Sigma Chi Psi Sorority and Gamma Sigma Gamma Fraternity. That same year, Sigma Chi Psi proudly honored Trina E. Braxton, a University of Phoenix graduate, with its first honorary member award, marking a key milestone in the growing movement to redefine sorority and fraternity life for students in online and alternative academic programs. Board and Executives
The SCP and GSG Association serves as the national interorganizational collaboration body for a collective of independent, multicultural Greek-letter organizations intentionally established to support students navigating nontraditional and online paths in higher education. Our work is grounded in a shared mission to strengthen the presence and impact of sororities and fraternities accessible to students enrolled in virtual, hybrid, and alternative academic programs. We aim to complement the efforts of online and nontraditional institutions and exist to provide support and a values-driven environment that champions academic excellence, service, social connections, and both personal and professional growth.
We are proud to have a diverse collective of board and executive members whose educational backgrounds reflect the very communities we serve. Our team includes individuals who have earned degrees and certifications from traditional colleges and universities, online programs, trade schools, and technical institutions. Their varied experiences help us authentically represent the industries and educational paths we welcome through membership.
