You Deserve Greek Life Too. Here's What We Built for You.

For too long, the online student has been left out of one of the most transformative parts of the college experience — the community, the connections, the sense of belonging that follows you long after graduation. We built Sigma Chi Psi Sorority (ΣΧΨ) and Gamma Sigma Gamma Fraternity (ΓΣΓ) to change that.

Since 2020, we have been the first Greek letter organizations built specifically for online learners. And what we've built is worth being a part of.

What We're About

Our members don't just attend school online, they belong to something. They build real friendships, develop leadership skills, and connect with a community that spans the country. Whether it's a local meetup, a regional event, or a national initiative, our members show up for each other in ways that go far beyond the virtual classroom.

Our Core Values

The principles that guide everything we do:

  • Sisterhood & Brotherhood — A lifelong network of members who genuinely invest in one another.

  • Growth — We treat personal and professional development as central to the experience, not an add-on.

  • Inclusion — Every background, story, and identity is welcomed and respected.

  • Service — We give back in organized, meaningful ways, locally and globally.

Who Can Apply

Whether you're learning online, balancing work and school, attending a community, technical, or trade program, transferring in, or you've already earned your degree online or through an online program, you have a place here.

  • Undergraduate, Graduate, and Doctoral students

  • First-term or newly enrolled students (enrollment verification letter required)

  • Alumni (official transcript with conferral date required)

  • Students at Technical, Trade, or Community Colleges

  • Certificate holders

Applications are open year-round and remain valid for one year, whenever you're ready, we're ready.

Applications are open year-round and remain valid for one year, so whenever you're ready, we're ready.

How the Application Process Works

Step 1 — Pay the application fee Your fee unlocks access to the full application and sets your journey in motion. Once submitted, you'll receive Part One via email.

Step 2 — Submit your transcript A minimum GPA of 2.8 (on a 4.0 scale) is required. Both official and unofficial transcripts are accepted, sent directly from your institution or a verified third-party service such as Parchment or the National Student Clearinghouse. New students without a GPA submit an enrollment verification letter instead.

Step 3 — Complete Part Two Written questions and a video interview, your opportunity to let us see who you are beyond the transcript.

Step 4 — Await your decision You'll receive an email with an estimated timeframe. If approved, you'll receive an invitation to begin the intake process. If denied, we'll explain why.

The Intake Invitation — What It Means

Receiving an intake invitation is a genuine milestone. It means we reviewed everything you submitted, and we want you in our community. Now it is time for you to continue choosing us.

Intake is a mutual evaluation. This is your opportunity to experience what we offer, ask questions, and decide whether this is the community you want to grow with. We believe the right fit matters for everyone involved, and this process is designed to confirm it on both sides.

To officially begin the process, a non-refundable administrative fee is required. This fee is your investment in the experience ahead, kept intentionally affordable because access should never be a barrier. Once submitted, you're on your way.

It's worth saying clearly: this process is unlike anything in traditional Greek life. There are no hazing rituals. No hierarchy designed to break you down. What we offer instead is a structured, virtual experience built to build you up.

Intake is centered on:

  • Personal development — Life skills you'll carry well beyond graduation, investing directly in who you are becoming

  • Greek life education — Understanding the culture, history, and responsibility of membership

  • Genuine connection — Relationships with fellow participants that often last a lifetime

  • Growth-oriented activities — Virtual tasks and experiences designed with your development in mind

An in-person meetup is strongly encouraged once intake is complete. Depending on the national organization you are applying to, it may be required. Greek life has always been built on real relationships, and there is something that happens when members meet face to face that no virtual experience can fully replicate. These gatherings deepen the bonds formed during intake and are often where lifelong friendships are made. Location details are shared exclusively with those who participate in intake

If you've read this far, you're already thinking about it. Apply today and see where it takes you.

Membership — What Comes Next

Completing intake means you've earned your place. From that point forward, you're a full member, attending chapter meetings, participating in group hybrid social and community service events, and plugged into a network that extends far beyond your own chapter.

Active membership comes with annual requirements, which are clearly outlined during the intake process so there are never any surprises.

Not Ready for Full Membership? There's Still a Place for You.

Affiliate status is available for members who need flexibility, whether due to time constraints or while working toward full membership requirements. Affiliates stay connected, attend limited events at the local, regional, and national levels, and remain a valued part of the community on terms that work for their lives. To be considered for affiliate status, you must complete the full application process. Affiliate options will be presented upon receiving your intake invitation.

Straight From Our Sisterhood

Our mission has also drawn recognition from notable voices who believe in what we are building.

The Bigger Picture

We are actively working toward school-approved chapter status, with the long-term vision of becoming the first nationally recognized, independent multicultural Greek letter organization designed exclusively for online students. That's a historic distinction, and our current members are part of making it happen.

We are also building partnerships with educational institutions and organizations that share our commitment to student engagement, leadership, and inclusive community. If that's you, reach out. Interested in partnering? Email support@scpandgsg.org

This Is Your Moment

The students who thrive most in our community are the ones who decided to stop waiting for the right time and simply apply. The process is accessible. The community is real. And the decision to join is one that our members consistently say was one of the best they made in college.
